Candidate Debates

The Debate Program is a cornerstone of the CFB’s voter education efforts. It provides New Yorkers with an opportunity to compare candidates side-by-side as they discuss the important issues facing the city.

NY1 and Noticias NY1 will sponsor and broadcast both debates for the 2019 General Election and will be joined by the following co-sponsors: The League of Women Voters, the NAACP New York State Conference Metropolitan Council, and the Latino Leadership Institute. Both debates will stream live and free-of-charge on the NY1 website and on the NY1 Facebook page. The debates will also be simulcast on NYC Life, the flagship station owned by the City of New York.
